- Who are we ?
Founded in April 2003, Lost in France is a fully licensed, bilingual agency specialised in the sale of historic and traditional properties of charm. Our agency, and head office, is located in the pretty town of Saumur in the departement of Maine et Loire. Thanks to our network of independant local agents, present in many of the key touristic regions, and to the agreements that we have set up with many local agents, we can offer a large selection of character properties in all price ranges, all of which have that special Lost in France touch !
Completely independant and not part of any group we can concentrate and focus all of our efforts on providing a quality service over the long term. Our primary interest and concern is to satisfy the needs of our clients and not those of shareholders.
Our customer base is made up equally of French and international clients, both on the buy and sell side, and relies on our expertise to access the most delightful properties for our buyers and the most solid and reliable buyers for our sellers.
The size and price of a property is of less importance for us than it's inherant charm and situation.
Our many agency contacts mean that if you don't find what you are looking for with us then we will see what we can source for you from our network, at no extra charge of course !
Our objective is to make your property transaction as calm and stress free as possible.
Depending on your needs we are happy to help with the transfer of services (water, electricity, gas etc.), to help find you a mortgage or a foreign exchange dealer, speaking your language and offering competitive rates, or to suggest a good Notaire (bilingual if so wished). It should also be noted that we have all our initial contracts – Compromis / Promesse de Vente – prepared by Notaire and that we always read through the initial and final acts before the Notarial meetings to ensure that there are no cultural or linguistic misunderstandings !
